USING THE PIZZA OVEN

 

Important Fire Safety Information relating to use of the Wood Fired Pizza Oven.

 

If you are planning to use the wood fired Pizza oven please ensure that you include the following procedure before lighting the oven. This procedure is to ensure fire safety during extreme fire risk conditions.
  • Check if today is a Total Fire Ban day. Information can be found on http://emergency.vic.gov.au/
  • During the months of October to March, register lighting of the pizza oven with the CFA / Emergency Victoria on 1800 668 511. This will ensure that the local CFA and fire authorities are aware that the Pizza oven has been lit and will not initiate an emergency call out from the local watch tower.
  • Position the hose (located on Dining Room outside wall) close to the Pizza oven in case of emergency.
  • Never, ever leave the pizza oven unattended.
