Maldon is close to Daylesford, Kyneton, Castlemaine and Bendigo and surrounded by rich forest, farming and wine country. It is still also a gold producing town where you can take your guests on a gold mine tour or take them on the beautifully restored steam train to Castlemaine as a highlight of your birthday celebration get away. Enjoy the original main street from the 1890’s full of cafes, antique and curio shops to find that special memory to take home.

“The Eaglehawk was the perfect location for my 40th birthday weekend. We stayed as a group of friends for four days and held events across the weekend, including a large party on Saturday night. The hotel has excellent facilities for groups of all sizes and was incredibly comfortable...the beds are amazing! Communication with the owners was excellent and they were quick to respond to queries while we were staying. All of our guests loved the building and the decor and it was a perfect location to hold a 1920s themed party.”
Birthday Party Function Rooms
Your Birthday Party function rooms abound with history and style. The original Public Bar from the Victorian Goldrush days now operates as your own Bar. Fully equipped with everything you need. Just add your drink, and a fabulous mixologist and your set to go. The Bar has been updated with vibrant artwork and furniture whilst being sympathetic to its long history.
The adjacent Dining Room is a grand space with five metre ceilings featuring an amazing triple tiered chandelier that is the centre piece of the room. It throws an amazing glow up onto the high ceiling to illuminate the room. The Dining Room has a four metre table located directly under the chandelier and can seat up to 20.
The light filled conservatory is located off the Dining Room and provides the third beautiful birthday party function room. Featuring comfortable couches and lounge chairs and overlooking the gardens it is the perfect location for relaxed conversation.
The front porch, deck and hotel gardens future multiple outdoor seating areas for your guests to relax and celebrate.

Food and Drink Options
Flexibility and Choice is key. You are not locked in to use in-house catering or bar and there is no minimum spend on food and drinks. You are free to self cater, bring in your own chef or caterer, select from the local Maldon providers or a combination of these. We can provide you with details of local chefs, caterers and businesses who can provide not only food but Bar and wait staff.
Accommodation
Accommodation for up to 16 guests in-house. Flexible bedding configuration between King and Single beds.
Additional accommodation is available at the motel next door and at several cottages and B&B's in Maldon.
